Un tempo, con le sue venti chiese suffraganee, rappresentava una delle piu&#8217; importanti pievi del Mugello: e&#8217; citata per la prima volta in un documento del 1037. Fu restaurata nel 1542, dopo i gravi danni subito in un forte terremoto.
